The Jayhawks on Parade organizing committee issued a public call to artists in October 2002 and the response was overwhelming. More than 60 talented, creative types submitted design proposals for this art icon event. Sponsors were then given an opportunity to select designs from the approved proposals.

The designs range from whimsical to way-out and each one has a personality all its own. This is “fun art” and it took lots of fun artists to make it happen!
